The overall aim of this volunteer post is to be part of a group of 13 – 19 year old young people in Hartlepool, who will plan, develop and decide upon the spend of the Youth opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund.

You DO NOT need any previous experience of volunteering and you do not need to be the most outgoing, confident, chatty person that ever lived! Full training will be provided and this will be in a fun way so that you will enjoy the experiences and opportunities.

You will attend a weekend residential to have fun as well as receive training and support so the group can become a grant giving body. You will also organise training and team building events that will help you develop new skills.

You will find ways to let other young people know about the money and help them apply for the Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital fund.

You will look at ways to make sure that the money is spent correctly by the groups of young people that apply.

You will have the opportunity to join in with other groups and projects, by giving your views on issues that affect young people in
